Not to bad.. for fast food

Nando's had arrived in New Farm. A little out of the norm to find a 'Normal' fast food establishment in the New Farm heartland. But is it normal? We were rushed after a busy weekend and a flame grilled chicken was suggested by friends. We dined in! Placed on the intersection, nestled next to New Farm's much loved 'Arriva' I nearly wore a disguise. But to my surprise, we dined outside on tables with cutlery, china plates and were served our meals by a very cheery waiter. Our food was fresh and offered a 'Nando's' bite. The only thing that was missing was the change in my pocket, I had notes, my change folded.. 6 people for $75 and we couldn't finish the meals. I may not be a regular, but I am an advocate. Head down next time you're in the mood for delicious chicken, don't want to wait an hour and you don't want to part with a small fortune..

Movie stars in New Farm Park!

Things have certainly changed quickly! The sun is back to it's scolding best, talk has swung toward holidays and it shouldn't be long before the movies are back in the park! To all those movie buffs, new farmers or tragic romantics looking for summer love, it's time to once again grab a rug and head to the park. The newfarmpark link on the side menu may have some info. otherwise http://www.moonlight.com.au/program.php?location=Brisbane should get you started. It's a summer Must on the peninsula.

On-site Vs In-room...

We've got an on-site auction tomorrow at 120 Syndey Street, New Farm 11.45am (Just a quick plug..). A little street theatre on a Saturday morning then off to lunch. We've being conducting mainly in-room auctions, but i'm back to the footpath tomorrow. There is two different camps on this topic. Do you get a bit more emotion on site or is the professional environment of the conference room a better platform.

Gotta get your backside...ringside

Two awesome summer preparing gyms are primed for new clients. Bootcamps on Harcourt Street (on the corner of Commercial Rd, Teneriffe) is offering clients membership from about $13 p/w; covers cross fit sessions, bootcamps & classes. I'm going twice a week and sweating all over the keyboard. Also if you want something a bit different, head to Kyabra Street to the new 'Fortitude Boxing Stadium', some of Australia's best boxers skip, punch and spar their way around an industrial gym in Teneriffe. Both offer a friendly atmosphere, positioned on the New Farm Pennisula, and will have you dripping sweat, boasting abs and flexing bi's in no time!!

Brissy's in great Shape

Last night I was thrilled to sit on a 'shape your city heart' panel, to create some debate/thoughts/challenges for Brisbane into the next 50 years. It was very well organised and well attended. There will be a series over the next few weeks - I can recommend getting to one. There was some great thoughts. http://shapeyourcityheart.com/ worth a look and a say.

Welcome aboard

Margaret Waters Real Estate joined us this week. The office comprised of Margaret Waters, her son Steve Waters and Judy Dickson.

I am thrilled and flattered that Margaret sees Ray White New Farm as a good platform to grow her business. Steve has also joined the ranks and is one of the most exciting agents on the Brisbane real estate landscape, I'm looking forward to seeing him in action.

Urban Living Auctions

Last Sunday we had our first auctions under the 'Urban Living' banner and they were extraordinary!! Over 500 people turned out to watch the event that ran from 10am – 2pm and saw 42 properties go 'under the hammer'. With 18 properties sold by 2pm and a further 10 now under contract this new formula has proven to be a huge success.

Phil Parker and I called the auctions and with all of the principals and sales people (from their respective offices) there to support buyers, the comments have been very positive around the safe and exciting environment.
